Our Pastor – Clinton Smith – Senior Pastor & Manufacturing Executive
Clinton Smith is a seasoned bi-vocational pastor and accomplished manufacturing executive with over 40 years of ministry leadership and 30 years of experience in industrial operations. A native Texan, Clinton confessed his faith at the age of six while attending Victory Baptist Church in Los Angeles, California. He accepted his call to preach at thirteen and delivered his first sermon at fifteen at Household of Bibleway Church in Lynwood, California.
Throughout his ministry journey, Clinton has served in multiple leadership roles, including Youth Pastor, Pastor of Christian Education, Assistant Pastor, Executive Pastor, and now Senior Pastor of The Word of God Baptist Church. His commitment to bi-vocational ministry—balancing the sacred and the secular—reflects the model of the Apostle Paul, embracing the “tentmaker” approach to sustain and advance his calling.
Professionally, Clinton brings three decades of expertise in manufacturing, specializing in MRP/ERP/APS systems integration, inventory optimization, and improving on-time delivery performance. Currently serving in senior management at a global industrial manufacturer of water valves, his role has afforded him international travel and cross-cultural business experience.
Clinton holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California State University, Riverside, and is APICS Certified in Supply Chain Management. He also earned an Honorary Doctorate in Biblical Studies from Elbon-Solutions College of Ministry (EBSCO) is a faith-based organizational school, operating under the Faith Ministries International Network of Churches and aspires to further his theological education at an accredited seminary.
