Meet Our Pastor!

Meet Our Pastor!

  • Funeral - Even for Christians, the death of a loved one is a difficult experience. We grieve the loss of one who has been close, but we do not sorrow as those who have no hope (1 Thessalonians 4: 13). It is our desire and privilege to minister to the families of our congregation in their time of need. It is through the Word of God that we have hope at the time of the death of a loved one (Romans 15: 4). Our policy provides assistance to families in planning and providing a Christian funeral.

  • Wedding - At TWOG, we believe God is the author of marriage and take marriage of the opposite sex very seriously. We want to do everything in our power to help you achieve a mutually enriching relationship expressed in a lifelong, constantly deepening commitment between a man and woman. This packet describes the means by which we as a church try to fulfill this high and holy responsibility.

  • Church Rental - This policy is designed to establish a documented procedure for vendor usage of The Word of God facilities. This procedure is geared toward individuals who would like to use our facility to promote, fundraise or sale items that are not geared toward the benefit of the church.

  • Benevolence - This benevolence policy is a tool to help The Word of God Baptist Church (TWOGBC), comply with increasing federal and state government guidelines in operating 501©3 nonprofit organizations. This policy is intended to help SRCF avoid conflicts by providing a written policy based in biblical ethics and financial wisdom for handling the resources God has provided.

  • Disputes / Lawsuits – This policy recognizes that the church is populated with believers who have been saved yet are still working out their salvation. This reality means that often the sins of one member will affect another person. At other times, a disagreement or conflict will arise between two or more individuals and as a resolution, we subscribe the biblical teaching of Jesus in Matthew 18:15-20. Scripture makes it pretty clear that brothers and sisters in Christ should not be suing one another (1 Corinthians 6:1-11). We are committed to resolving conflict in a Christian manner and protect our witness in the community. We will not fear threats of lawsuits but will with trust in God to have everything under controls. This policy provides biblical standard for disputes of any kind in the church.
