Pastor Louis Monroe III was born on January 27, 1972 to Louis Monroe Jr. and Harriettte B. Monroe. He made a personal profession of faith in Christ Jesus and was baptized at an early age. He was baptised at the Mt Sinai Missionary Baptist church under the leadership of the late Dr. H.B. Charles, Sr.
He attended Van Wig Elementary School, Torch Middle School, and Bassett High School in La Puente, California. He has continued his education by attending San Jose State University after graduating with Honors from High School. He has continued increasing his knowledge by attending several institutions of higher education and recieving his both his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and Master of Arts in Church Administration. Pastor Monroe continues to further his education as he is currently persuing his Doctorate in Biblical Studies.
In 1991, Pastor Monroe was hired by Pacific Bell, where he is currently still employed.
In 1986, his family united with the New Revelation Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. William Turner Jr. That same year he accepted his call to the ministry and in 1989 he was license to preach the gospel. In 1998, he was ordained by Dr. Turner to preach. While at New Revelation he served as a musician, Youth Counselor, Youth Pastor, Administrative Pastor, and Special Assistant to the Pastor.
Many and diverse speaking opportunities, both within and beyond New Revelation Missionary Baptist Church, helped to rapidly and progressively develop his preaching and teaching. Likewise, the years of assisting Pastor Turner and ministering to the young people trained him in fundamental aspects of spiritual leadership.
In 1992, Pastor Monroe united with Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. M.V. Wade Sr. While at Mt Moriah he served as Genesis Teacher, musician, and gave leadership to the Video Ministry. It was while at Mt. Moriah, he was called to New Revelation to be the Youth Pastor.
In 1998 he met his life partner Shereece Monroe. This friendship soon blossomed. They were married on July 6, 2002. They have three children: Louis, Nicholas, and Diamond.
In 2002, he took over as Youth Pastor at the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. While there he was called to be the Interim Pastor of The Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church.
In 2005, after much prayer, he united with the Redeemer Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Curtis Monroe, Jr. where he served as youth counselor, Sunday School & Bible Study Teacher, Superintendent of the Sunday School, and Executive Pastor.
On August 1, 2010, he was called to Pastor the Word of God Baptist Church of Los Angeles, California, and on October 31, 2010 Pastor Louis Monroe, III was installed as Pastor, uniting Word of God with him as Pastor and People.
Pastor Louis Monroe III remains humble and prayerful as he is guided to Draw, Develop and Deploy Christians for Christ.
